Is There A Strong Guarantee Buried In Your Business?

When it comes to buying any significant product or service, we are all careful about the choices we make...

Subconsciously, we may well consider the 'worst case scenario' i.e. what happens if the product doesn't work, or the service doesn't deliver the promised outcome?

And this is where a
strong guarantee can provide the reassurance the customer is looking for, and mean that you win the order, rather than your competition.

But guarantees are often overlooked by business owners, even though they are a vital tool to build trust and credibility.

We use guarantees in all of our marketing not only to reduce risk for the prospect/customer (making it easier for them to say yes) but also as a statement to them that we believe 100% in what we are selling.

Recently, I was working with a business owner who installs kitchens and bathrooms, and I asked him what his guarantee was. He didn’t have one.

So I asked him what he would do if a customer wasn’t happy with their finished kitchen or bathroom, or they had any issues, – he replied: “We’d immediately go in and fix the problem, including replace any defective units, or even re-lay tiles for example”.

I pointed out that he already has an excellent guarantee, but it was buried in his business.

He got the point, and now uses a written guarantee which is explained verbally to all prospects, and is included in all of his quotations.

The fact is that you’re probably already doing everything you need, to offer a strong guarantee, but you’re not shouting about it in your marketing.

If this describes you, I'd strongly recommend that you re-visit or craft a guarantee that helps people decide to buy from you, rather than your competitors.
